Planting position: Full sun or semi-shade in areas humid-free.Planted in safe spots, away from pipes for instance, for its roots spread vigorously.
Propagate from summer or winter cuttings.

This deciduous tree has long, branches, which droop to the ground, shiny and greyish-brown, with pale-green leaves.
S. mucronata (3 - 5m) is very graceful with yellow autumn foliage and soft seed.
