Planting position: Full sun or semi-shade.
Requires thorough, regular watering.Well-draining, organically-enriched soil.Light pruning of old growth and flower stalks encourages new growth.
Propagate from (spring-sown if in situ) seed.

This true biennial needs no introduction. The foliage is bright green, fern-like and curly, often used to neutralise the strong flavours of garlic.
‘Neapolitanum’, the Italian parsley, is a higher- and stronger grower.
