Requires moderate watering.
Potting mixtures of loam, leaf mould, peat moss and river sand.
Provide a broader than deep container.
Provide medium light-intensity.
Monthly applications of liquid fertilizer.
Propagate from offsets or spores.

A very easy fern to grow with bright green, undivided fronds, broadly lanceolate and tapering to a shorter stem.
A. nidus 'Australasicum' is a strong grower with a black midrib and keel, preferring shady positions.
